As the title of this post suggests, we took B to the zoo on the weekend. It was great as it was the first time that we had taken somewhere child friendly, with his cousins, and he got as much enjoyment out of the day as he did.
The zoo we went to was Drusilla's Park, Alfriston (not too far from Brighton but nearer Lewes). It;s not the largest zoo but they cram a lot in to a fairly small area.
B really enjoyed looking at animals that moved around a lot in their enclosures. He loved the bats, fish, mice and the monkeys. He also really enjoyed the Thomas the Tank Engine Ride along train, as people waved to him as we went past. He's 6 months now and we can see him becoming more aware of his surroundings. I'm really looking forward to next year when he can enjoy their fantastic play areas - and wave back to people from Thomas.
Here are some pics of day:
You can book tickets to Drusillas here (it's cheaper than buying them on the day!): http://www.drusillas.co.uk/
