Rockabye Baby! Had enough of Twinkle Twinkle?

If you quite like the effect that plinky-plinky lullaby music has on your little one, but find the sound of it something akin to nails on a blackboard (remember those?) you might like to try Rockabye Baby's lullaby renditions of rock albums.

For the first few days of B's life, he wouldn't sleep (or even be put down) unless there was some music playing. I tried a few albums of lullabies and nursery rhymes but they nearly drove me nuts. After that I tried classical music- very trendy but I realised that I HATE IT, particularly when I could only find one album on spotify which didn't feature anything loud by Beethoven.

After about a week of listening to classical chillout on loop all night, B is actually became a great sleeper, so I wish I'd discover Rockabye Baby sooner.

The range is vast and include soft, soothing versions of rock albums from Tool to Blur. My favourites are Muse, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters.  The alums covers are all derived from the an actual album by the band but feature teddy bears instead of grenades or dead pigs or other lovely rock iconography.

Some sound more like the originals then others but it's also amusing to hear Smells like Tean Spirit played on rattles, squeaky toys and bells.

All the albums are available on Spotify so you can tree then out for free. Bonus!
